I had originally envisioned an extended techno dance mix of this song. What evolved was something quite different. Daniel Barnes brought his genius to the recording studio and began to lay down a reggae rap over the top of the melody to which we all agreed should be recorded for posterity. The beat was slowed and the trombone solo re-recorded. If you are patient and listen real hard, you’ll find the reggae remix of Sugarcane at the end of the CD.
